We Asked

Earlier this year we asked you about how your transport and travel priorities had changed over the last 5 years.

We also wanted to know what was important to you and where you wanted to see improvements and changes across the transport network.

This was all to inform the development of our Transport Strategy Refresh, alongside our evidence gathering through other engagement activities.

You Said

We received over 1500 responses to our Your Voices survey.

There is a clear prioritisation order for the key themes, with society being the top priority, environment second, and economy third.

 Public transport is the key priority for most people, in terms of investment, availability and accessibility. 

Affordability was a defining issue mentioned by a large proportion of respondents.

A full report with the results of this survey is now available for you to read and is attached at the bottom of this page.

We are currently developing a refreshed transport strategy, and a full draft version will be put out for public consultation in the coming months.

This will give you a further opportunity to feed into the development of a final document, prior to its adoption in 2025.
